ANZ timid on rate rise: a clarification

Yesterday's brief with the above headline was a bit of muddle. ANZ in fact raised its interest rate on margin loans by five basis points this week.

The bank's standard variable interest rate remains unchanged.

However: the AFR now reports today that ANZ's Origin subsidiary has increased its delivery rate to mortgage managers by between 10 and 15 basis points.
