ALRC report on privacy law ready
The report of the Australian Law Reform Commission into its review of privacy laws will be made public tomorrow morning.
The ALRC report will deal, in part, with the issue of credit reporting, on which plenty of banking entities and utilities want to see some reform. At present Australia's privacy law caters to the current negative reporting regime, and there's advocacy for a form of comprehensive or positive reporting.
The ALRC plans to publish the report in soft copy at its website at around 1am eastern Australian time on Wednesday.
