Briefs: Former ME boss joins MoneyMe board UK fintech makes local acquisition

18 March 2024 8:20AM
Former ME Bank chief executive Jamie McPhee has joined the board of consumer finance company MoneyMe. McPhee was ME’s CEO from 2010 to 2020, when it was acquired by Bank of Queensland. Since then he has chaired lender SocietyOne, until its acquisition by MoneyMe in 2022, and he is currently a director of G&C Mutual Bank and business credit card issuer Archa Ltd.

Financial services start-up Cape has been acquired by UK fintech ANNA.Money. Cape was founded in 2020, specialising in business expense and travel management, business card issuance and foreign exchange. ANNA.Money describes itself as a “business account and tax management app for small business”, with around 100,000 UK business clients. The company said in a statement that it shared a common vision with Cape - to “redefine the landscape of financial administration for all business owners”.
