Consolidation in the debt collection market

09 November 2023 5:48AM

Debt collector and debt recovery technology provider Credit Clear is expanding its presence the insurance claims recoveries market, with the acquisition of Debt Recoveries Australia. Credit Clear announced that it has entered into a binding agreement to acquire 100 per cent of DRA Group for A$1.5 million, in a cash and scrip deal. DRA and its subsidiary ADC Legal specialise in insurance and automotive recoveries. A third part of the business, Nova Team Solutions, runs a business process outsourcing operation based in the Philippines. Credit Clear said the business has 300 active clients and generated $2.1 million of revenue in the year to June. Credit Clear’s revenue in that period was $35 million. Credit Clear listed on the ASX in October 2020, when it raised $15 million through an initial public offering. A year later it acquired the debt recovery company ARMA Group Holdings for $46 million.
