Briefs: Scotpac moves into foreign trade services, Westpac joins Home Guarantee Scheme

Business lender Scotpac has formed a partnership with foreign exchange and trade finance provider Ebury. The collaboration will provide clients of both companies with access to Scotpac’s working capital finance and Ebury’s forex and cross border payments services. Scotpac said its aim was to better support clients with offshore business, which is a growing part of its business. Westpac and its subsidiaries, St George Bank, Bank of Melbourne and BankSA, have joined the government’s Home Guarantee Scheme as participating lenders. The Home Guarantee Scheme includes the First Home Guarantee, the Family Home Guarantee, the Regional First Home Buyer Guarantee and the New Home Guarantee. The scheme is supported by more than 30 lenders, including Commonwealth Bank and NAB. There were 41,700 guarantees in the year to June.
