Briefs: New Zip CFO, Judo adopts Backbase platform

19 September 2023 5:08AM
Zip Co has made another senior executive change, with Martin Brooke stepping down from his role of chief financial officer. Former Westpac general manager group finance, Gordon Bell, is the new CFO. Bell was also Westpac’s business division CFO and managing director in group treasury. His appointment comes one month after Cynthia Scott took over as group chief executive. Judo Bank has contracted Dutch banking technology company Backbase to upgrade its SME platform. Judo will adopt Backbase’s Engagement Banking Platform “to create new digital experiences” for its customers, Backbase said in a media release yesterday. Backbase describes the platform as a single piece of technology to handle customer onboarding, servicing, loyalty and loan origination.
