Joanne Dawson has been appointed group treasurer at Westpac, taking over from veteran Curt Zuber when he retires next year. Zuber has been the bank’s group treasurer for 16 years and Dawson has been his deputy for 10 of those. Dawson has also worked as a senior portfolio manager in group treasury and chief financial officer at Westpac Institutional Bank. NAB’s customer satisfaction score has picked up strongly over the past year, with an increase of 3.7 percentage points in the year to August putting it on an equal footing with Commonwealth Bank as the highest rated of the big banks. Overall customer satisfaction with banks rose 90 basis points over the year and 50 bps for the big banks.
