ANZ has appointed John Corrin as head of corporate finance, international. It is a new role overseeing the bank’s corporate finance business outside Australia and New Zealand. Corrin, who is based in Hong Kong, has been at ANZ for 10 years and prior to his latest appointment he was head of loan syndications for the international business.

 

NAB customers were affected by an outage that lasted most of the day yesterday, affecting internet and mobile banking, and eftpos terminals. With fewer consumers using cash, shopkeepers were on social media complaining that they were losing business. Just after 5pm NAB tweeted that customers could get into mobile and internet services but there were still some “functionality issues”.
