Briefs: Hires at Brighten and Growth Finance, Teachers takes the pledge

  • Stuart Murray has left Resimac, where he was head of lending, to take up the role of head of credit at Brighten Home Loans. Brighten is also recruiting a chief technology officer as part of a business expansion that has seen staff numbers double over the past 12 months to more than 80.

 

  • SME lender Growth Finance has appointed Lee Clarke to the new role of chief operating officer. Clarke’s CV includes executive roles at GE Capital, Allianz Finance, ANZ and Orix Australia, Bank of Queensland and St George Business Finance.

 

  • Teachers Mutual Bank has signed up to the Tobacco-Free Finance Pledge, joining 160 signatories (45 of them Australian) that have committed to sever all business and financial ties with the tobacco industry.
