Briefs: EML appointment, RBNZ registers ICBC branch

19 May 2020 5:25AM
US payments industry veteran George Gresham has joined the board of EML Payments as an independent non-executive director. Based in Arizona, Gresham was chief financial officer of Netspend (now part of TSYS Global Payments), CFO of Global Cash Access (now Everi Holdings) and CFO of eFunds Corp (now Fidelity National Information Services). EML also announced that its chief commercial officer, Brandon Thompson, was leaving the company and would not be replaced.

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand has registered Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Ltd to provide banking services in New Zealand as a branch. A New Zealand subsidiary of ICBC has been registered since 2013. Under the RBNZ’s dual registration policy ICBC will conduct business in NZ through its branch and subsidiary.
