Briefs: Collection House administrators call for proposals, Harmoney board appointments

11 July 2022 5:52AM
The voluntary administrators running failed debt buyer Collection House have called for proposals for the purchase or recapitalisation of the business by July 22. John Park, Ben Campbell and Kelly-Anne Trenfield of FTI Consulting were appointed earlier this month, after the company announced that its efforts to restructure the business and raise new funding were unsuccessful. The company became largely debt free in April, after breaching loan covenants in 2019, but its business had deteriorated badly over that period. Consumer lender Harmoney has appointed Monique Cairns and John Quirk as non-executive directors. Cairns is a business strategy consultant who owns New Zealand consultancy Caribou. Quirk is also a strategy consultant, and was the chief executive of MI Services Group, an IT consulting company. David Flack is leaving the board, which is chaired by Paul Lahiff, after eight years.
