Banking veteran joins humm board

01 July 2022 5:55AM

Former Bank of Queensland chief executive Stuart Grimshaw has joined the board of finance company humm, which is being completely overhauled following the departure of most of the directors.

Grimshaw also held senior positions at Commonwealth Bank and NAB. In more recent times he ran a US lender called EZCORP and is currently executive director of Jungle Capital.

Andrew Abercombie, who fought the rest of the board over the proposed sale of humm’s consumer finance business to Latitude Financial Services and won, has been appointed chair, following the resignation of Christine Christian.

Other directors leaving are Rajeev Dawan and Carole Campbell.

Joining Grimshaw on the reconstituted board is Ms Terry Fleming, who chairs the company’s Irish business.
