09 December 2014 4:54PM
Westpac has continued to poach key technology personnel from arch rival, Commonwealth Bank. The highest profile hire has been Dave Curran, who was named chief information officer in September.Curran previously ran the CBA's core banking refresh which hinged around software from German company SAP. Last month Curran announced Robert Wilson, SAP's global head of retail banking, would join Westpac in January as chief technology officer. The bank yesterday announced that two of Wilson's senior reports would also be joining Westpac from CBA in early 2015. Myles Hannan is leaving a senior systems architecture role at CBA to take on the position of director of enterprise architecture at Westpac. Michael Sikh, formerly a general manager in CBA's group information services, has been named as Westpac's director of solutions consulting.
