Users will be able to use it to purchase at point of sale and online, and withdraw cash at an ATM. The card will include MasterCard's PayPass functionality.Qantas Cash, which will hit the market in the September quarter, is being issued to members of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program. Details of the earn rate and conversion rate for points are not yet available.Qantas plans to use the card chip to enable other functions, such as airport check-in and boarding.Heritage Bank will be the card issuer. According to a statement issued by Qantas yesterday, this is subject to final agreement.Card buffs will be interested to see that in the card mock-up supplied with the media material only Qantas' brand appears on the front of the card.
