Foreign news: Indonesian bank launches a floating branch

Foreign news,
  • Bank Rakyat Indonesia has launched a floating branch to provide services to the country's remote island communities. Finextra reports that the vessel, the Teras BRI Kapal, will service six islands with a combined population of 8000. The floating branch is part of the bank's financial inclusion program and more boats are planned.
