Cuscal steps up in the merchant acquiring market

Payment services provider Cuscal will expand its presence in the merchant acquiring market, after signing a partnership agreement with electronic payments company Wirecard AG.The two companies will work together to allow Wirecard's payment processing platform to receive credit and debit card transactions in Australia.The Wirecard platform is omni-channel and will support multiple sales channels. Cuscal will offer an upgraded payment processing service to merchants.Cuscal acting general manager product and service, Colin Sultana, said in a media release that one of the attractive features of the Wirecard system was that it could be customised to suit individual merchant's requirements.Another feature of the Wirecard platform is that it is global. It has the scope to offer a global merchant acquiring service.
