Credit reporting reforms pass Senate

The Senate passed the legal changes needed to foster new comprehensive credit reporting rules yesterday.The Senate's version of the Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Bill 2012 includes changes proposed by the Government and the Greens in light of the review by the Legal and Constitutional Affairs Legislation Committee of the Bill.The House of Representatives has still to vote on the revised Bill.
