Correction: GE Money and Wizard Home Loans

03 October 2008 4:51PM
The home lending changes GE Money announced on Wednesday relate to GE Money's Third Party Solutions business (which provides loans through brokers, originators, aggregators and GE Money branches), not Wizard, as reported today. Third parties do not write Wizard loans, and Wizard will continue to provide prime loans direct to borrowers. The only change announced that relates to both Third Party Solutions and Wizard is the suspension of fixed rates. Similarly, it is GE Money Third Party Solutions, not Wizard, which offers non-conforming loans through brokers.
