Brian Wilson has been reappointed as a part-time member of the Payments System Board. Treasurer Scott Morrison announced that Wilson's appointment would run until November 2020. Wilson is the co-founder of Lazard in Australia and was previously vice chairman of Citigroup Australia. He is chair of the Foreign Investment Review Board and deputy chancellor of the University of Technology Sydney. Bartercard operator BPS Technology has appointed Andrew McIntyre to the newly created role of chief technology officer. McIntyre was previously the chief information officer of the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse. Assistant Treasurer Kelly O'Dwyer has written to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission asking it to inquire into pay and ownership structures in the mortgage broking industry, The Australian reports. The industry now accounts for more than 52 per cent of mortgage sales and gives the bulk of its business to the big banks. O'Dwyer is interested to find out more about the ownership structure of the industry and its remuneration practices.
