Commonwealth Bank executive Grant Cairns has been appointed vice president of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. He joined the FINSIA board 11 months ago. He is CBA’s executive general manager, regional and agribusiness banking. He is a graduate of FINSIA’s chartered banker program. Former Westpac New Zealand chief executive Peter Clare has joined the board of Toowoomba-based Heritage Bank. Clare worked in senior roles at Commonwealth Bank and was a member of the executive leadership teams at Westpac and St George Bank. His appointment at Heritage follows the resignation of director Vivienne Quinn, who served 25 years on the board.
