Briefs: LendEx boosts its board, BSP still mulling on secondary listing, license for Invapay

18 April 2017 3:23PM
LendEx, a marketplace lender, added Brian Benger and Kim Jenkins to its board as non-executive directors. Benger is chair of Mercer Financial Advice and a director of Mercer Investments (Australia). Kim Jenkins is the recently appointed CEO of the Australian Retail Credit Association.  Bank South Pacific may have a mooted secondary listing on the Australian Securities Exchange on the backburner. Kostas Constantinou, chair of BSP, said on Thursday the bank was "continuing its consideration of initiatives to generate greater liquidity in BSP shares" and "has not ruled out undertaking a secondary listing," an idea confirmed by BSP only three weeks ago. But Constantinou said the bank "is not currently of the view that there will be a significant public offer of shares in conjunction with the potential listing." Invapay, a payments platform with a handful of banking counterparties, said it received an Australian Financial Services License. ANZ and Citi use Invapay for boutique payments services.
