Briefs: Genworth chair to retire, Finsia and Monash launch MBA scholarship

15 August 2016 4:02PM
Richard Grellman, who has been the chair of Genworth Mortgage Insurance Australia since 2012, will retire at the end of the month. Grellman, a long-serving partner at KPMG where he advised financial institutions, led the Genworth board through the company's initial public offering and ASX listing in 2014. The board has appointed Ian MacDonald as the new chair. MacDonald held senior roles and National Australia Bank and its UK subsidiaries between 1994 and 2006. He joined the Genworth board in 2012. Finsia is holding a webinar on Tuesday to provide information about its new scholarship program. Earlier this month Finsia and Monash Business School launched the Monash MBA Finsia Scholarship, offering a full tuition fee waiver for the Monash MBA program for "an exceptional Finsia member with demonstrated contribution to the financial services sector, emerging leadership capabilities, outstanding academic record and proven professional experience."
