The Reserve Bank of New Zealand has announced the replacement for departed chief economist John McDermott. Yuong Ha takes over the role of head of economics and chief economist from 29 April. He has been with the central bank since 1997, most recently as acting head of financial markets. That role will now be taken over permanently by another internal appointment, Vanessa Raynor.
