BoQ job cuts confirmed

Bank of Queensland confirmed plans on Friday to cut 100 or more jobs. The bank also said it would freeze the pay of more senior staff earning in excess of A$100,000, where not constrained by enterprise agreements.

The job cuts at BoQ will centre on both mid-level and more senior managers at the bank's Brisbane headquarters, the Financial Review reported.

Dow Jones reported that the bank has resolved it will not offshore jobs. Instead, it will expand its call centre in Brisbane.
