HSBC says it has appointed Paul Edgar as head of HSBC business banking in Australia. He comes to Australia from his role as director of international corporates for HSBC in Hong Kong. Rabobank says it has appointed Phil Streten as group executive for wholesale banking. He takes over from Paul Beiboer, who has been appointed general manager of London branch and regional head of wholesale banking Europe for global Rabobank. Islamic finance firm Amanie Advisors says it has appointed Mark Darras as executive director of its new Australian business. Darras is a lawyer with Sparke Helmore and a member of the Takeovers Panel. He is also deputy chair of Australia Post.
