ANZ has appointed Mark Evans as managing director for transaction banking.Evans is currently chief compliance officer at ANZ, having joined the bank in 2009 as global head of trade and supply chain.  He will work from Sydney. Previously he was with HSBC where he was responsible for the trade and supply chain business across the Pacific.He replaces Carole Berndt, who is leaving ANZ to pursue outside business interests.??The bank also announced the appointment of Michael Liarakos as its new chief compliance officer. He has been the bank's group general manager internal audit since 2008.Sandra Burns has been appointed acting group general manager internal audit, while an internal recruitment process is undertaken.
