ANZ National CEO steps down

ANZ National Chief Executive Jenny Fagg stepped down from her position to undergo treatment for cancer and Deputy Chief Executive Steven Fyfe will assume the acting role during her absence.Fagg took up the position of CEO in May 2009.As the deputy, Fyfe is responsible for the marketing, product management, customer segmentation, communication and strategy function for New Zealand businesses.Fyfe was previously the Chief Operating Officer for ANZ National and Managing Director for retail banking. Fyfe was then chosen to develop and strengthen ANZ's decision to have two strong brands, ANZ and National Bank, in the retail banking market.
