Aid ranks bank brands

Ian Rogers
The cash collected in aid for the Victorian fire appeals provides one measure of the public regard for bank brands.

As of Monday this was around:
  • Commonwealth, $30 million.
  • NAB, $17 million.
  • Westpac, $13 million, and including St George.
  • ANZ, $9 million.
  • Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, $5 million.
All this money went direct to the Red Cross, through these banks either in-branch or through the bank's internet channel.

Banks also directly donated $1 million each, and some matched employee donations.
