'Look, but don't touch' on ANZ's corporate mobile

29 August 2012 4:41PM
ANZ will launch an application in the final quarter of the year that will allow its Australian and New Zealand corporate clients to view accounts on the bank's Transactive platform from their iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches.    But corporate customers won't be able to initiate payments from mobile devices until a more secure version of the app is developed. While retail customers have long been a focus for ANZ mobile banking apps - goMoney pioneered mobile phone-based payments in Australia - a spokesman for ANZ said the Transactive mobile app will be the first specifically developed for institutional, corporate and commercial customers.ANZ Transactive is a web-based cash management system that allows corporate users to make domestic and international payments - including pay salaries - and execute transfers, and view balance and transaction histories. While the app is, initially, being released for Australian and New Zealand clients, Transactive is also being made available to ANZ's Asia-Pacific clients. At this stage, there are only a couple of hundred of these, though rolling out this platform is a priority for the bank. The bank worked with US-based cloud services business Bottomline on the application.
