Retiring CBA director Genevieve Bell

  • Suncorp Bank chief executive Clive van Horen is leaving Suncorp to take on the job of chief executive at wealth management company Colonial First State. Van Horen has been Suncorp Bank CEO since August 2020, when the bank was struggling to hold share in mortgages and was having trouble meeting cost reduction targets. Its performance improved under his leadership. He will leave the bank in December.

  • Commonwealth Bank director Genevieve Bell will step down from the board next month, as she clears the decks to take up her role as vice chancellor and president of the Australian National University next year.
