Citi appoints new country head

04 March 2016 4:36PM
Citigroup has appointed David Livingstone as its new country officer for Australia, replacing Stephen Roberts who takes on the role of chairman of Citi in Australia.Livingstone joins from Credit Suisse, where he was vice chairman of investment banking and capital markets for Europe, Middle East and Africa. He has also had executive roles at HSBC and Goldman Sachs. He has worked in Australia previously, as CEO of Credt Suisse Australia from 2010 to 2013 and as head of investment banking for Goldman Sachs.Livingstone will reports to Francisco Aristeguieta, the chief executive of Citi Asia Pacific. The search for Roberts' replacement was protracted but Roberts told The Australian that this was not due to any difficulty filling the role. Rather it was due to organisational changes elsewhere in the region that had to be sorted out first.
