Michael Ebstein notes that key credit card use indices such as balance to limits, spend to limits and spend to balance either continued at, or reached, new peaks in February.
• the balance to limits ratio increased to 34.8 per cent in the year ending February 2003, from 34.7 per cent in January 2003, almost back to its early 2001 peak of 34.9.
• the spend to limits ratio increased to 13.2 per cent in February, from 13.1 per cent in January.
Ebstein say this is a new peak, with both the balance to limit and spending to limit ratios being driven...
