Adelaide's three most significant, and still independent, financial institutions are well in front of other banks when it comes to keeping their depositors and investors up to date on their profits and performance.

Adelaide Bank, and now Elders Rural Bank and Australian Central Credit Union have all reported for the December 2002 half year within five weeks of the end of the year.

Commonwealth Bank reports next week, while Bendigo Bank, BankWest and Suncorp Metway will wait until the second half of February.
