Consumers who like to use platinum credit cards can now have a platinum debit card to match. Bankwest launched the first platinum MasterCard debit card in Australia yesterday.

There is no annual fee for the premium card, but cardholders must deposit $4000 a month into their transaction account (or be subject to account fees).

Benefits include MasterCard's 24/7 Platinum Concierge Service, 12-month extended warranty on purchases and worldwide purchase security protection.
