Banks are cutting jobs with such gusto that a majority of their staff say they want to work elsewhere. Being pragmatists, they want to work for miners.
A periodic survey by eFinancialCareers found that 78 per cent are thinking about leaving financial services.
Of finance workers in Australia surveyed by eFC, 26 per cent said they wanted to work in mining, while 10 per cent said they wanted to work in the oil and gas sector.
