- AmBank Group in Malaysia has appointed Paul Lewis from ANZ as managing director of its retail banking division. ANZ owns 24 per cent of AmBank. Lewis was previously head of the Australian branch network of ANZ. The Australian bank has the right to appoint three senior executives to its Malaysian associate.
- Commonwealth Bank is asking betting firm Sportsbet to discontinue a television commercial that parodies the debut adverts in the bank's "CAN" television advertising campaign.
