Briefs: NAB increases business loan rates, CBA's earnings outlook positive

  • National Australia Bank has increased the margin on its business loans. The bank revealed yesterday that it will increase the liquidity margin on short-term loans to both medium-sized and big business by 20 basis points.
  • Citi Research has included Commonwealth Bank in the list of companies it thinks might produce a positive earnings surprise in the forthcoming profit reporting season. CBA reports on August 15. It is expected to report in excess in A$7 billion in cash earnings.
