Commonwealth Bank's chief information officer, Michael Harte, took a discursive approach in an interview with a Wall Street Journal blog on the bank's information technology investments.
"Too many people think IT is an arcane black science that only smart people can do. We’ve displaced that kind of IT with this beautiful new consumer IT," Harte said.
"We should have this very simple, open set of systems that anybody can use, and anybody can determine whether or not they’re valuable or making value. There can be no more hiding," he said.
